Spring Trailer Maintenance Checklist for Rental Fleets

Tires & Wheels

Check tread depth, sidewall condition, and tire pressure on every trailer. Don't forget the spare.

Brakes

Test electric brakes with a brake controller. Check brake magnets, wiring connections, and breakaway cable.

Lights & Electrical

Test all lights: running, brake, turn signals, and interior (for enclosed). Replace any corroded connectors.

Structure

Inspect frame welds, floor condition, ramp hinges, and tie-down points. Look for rust and treat early.

Documentation

Verify registration, insurance, and inspection stickers are current for every unit.
