Marketing Tools Overview
TrailerBase's marketing suite is built around one idea: you should not need a second product, a third vendor, or a fourth login to grow your rental business. Everything you need to attract, convert, and keep renters lives inside your dashboard.
Email Campaigns
Open Marketing > Campaigns to send targeted email blasts to your past and current renters. You can filter by rental type, rental date, zip code, lifetime spend, and more. Templates include seasonal promotions, holiday specials, and win-back emails for customers who have not rented in the last 90 days.
Every campaign tracks opens, clicks, and attributed bookings automatically. You can see the revenue each campaign generated without any spreadsheets.
Promo Codes
Promo codes let you offer discounts without compromising your base pricing. Create a code in Marketing > Promo Codes, set:
- A percent off or flat dollar amount
- A minimum rental length or total
- A usage limit (per customer and total)
- A start and expiration date
Share the code on social media, in a campaign, or via a referral partner. TrailerBase enforces the rules at checkout automatically.
Referrals
Your happiest customers are your best sales team. The referral program in Marketing > Referrals gives every renter a unique link they can share. When a new renter books through that link and completes a rental, both people get credit toward their next booking.
You set the incentive: fixed dollar amount, percent off, or free rental hours. Payouts happen automatically after the referred rental completes.
Listing Views Report
In Reports > Listing Views, you see exactly how many people are looking at each of your trailers, where they came from, and whether those views turned into bookings. This report is the single best tool for diagnosing listings that need better photos, copy, or pricing.
SEO-Ready Public Website
Every TrailerBase account includes a public-facing website at your chosen subdomain (or your own custom domain). It is indexed by Google, optimized for local search, and updated automatically when you add or edit trailers. You can swap hero images, change colors, and add policy text without touching any code.
Review Showcase
Happy renters leave reviews, and those reviews are gold for future bookings. TrailerBase invites renters to review you after every completed rental and displays approved reviews on your public site and in your email signature. You can hide, feature, or respond to any review from Marketing > Reviews.
Putting It Together
A healthy marketing loop looks like this:
- Your public site brings in new renters through organic search.
- Every completed rental generates a review and a referral link.
- Monthly email campaigns re-engage quiet customers.
- Promo codes close the deals that are almost-but-not-quite booking.
You do not need to use every tool on day one. Turn them on as you grow, and let the built-in analytics tell you where to invest next.
