Troubleshooting Login Issues
If you cannot log in to TrailerBase, the cause is almost always one of a handful of common issues. Walk through this list in order — most people are back in within a minute or two.
1. Try the Password Reset Flow
Click Forgot password? on the login screen and enter your email. You will receive a reset link within a minute. Follow the link, set a new password (at least 10 characters, with a mix of letters and numbers), and try logging in again.
If you never get the email, move on to step 2.
2. Check Your Spam and Promotions Folders
Password reset emails occasionally land in spam, especially if your email provider has strict filtering. Look for a message from [email protected]. In Gmail, also check the Promotions and Updates tabs. Mark the email as "not spam" so future messages land in your inbox.
3. Clear Cookies for TrailerBase
A stale login session can prevent you from signing in. In your browser's settings, find the option to clear cookies for a specific site, and clear everything for trailerbase.io. Then try logging in again.
4. Try Incognito or a Different Browser
Browser extensions, cached scripts, or corrupted session data can all block a clean login. Open an incognito or private window and try again. If that works, the problem is something in your regular browser profile — typically an ad blocker or a password manager that is autofilling the wrong credentials.
5. Use Google Sign-In as a Fallback
If you signed up with Google, or if you added Google sign-in later, you can always use the Continue with Google button to bypass your password entirely. This is a great workaround if you are traveling or on a shared device.
6. Account Lockout
After 10 failed login attempts in a row, your account is locked for 15 minutes. This is a security measure against brute-force attacks. You will see a message at the login screen telling you how much time remains. Wait it out (or head for coffee) and try again with a fresh password via the reset flow.
7. Contact Support
If none of the above works, support can manually reset your access. When you email [email protected], please include:
- The email address on your account
- The approximate time and date of your last successful login
- A description of what you see when you try to log in (exact error message is best)
- The browser and device you are using
Support can usually resolve access issues within a few hours on Pro plans and under 24 hours on Launch plans.
Prevention
- Use a password manager to avoid guessing and mistyping
- Turn on two-factor authentication under Settings > Security
- Add a backup email so reset links can go somewhere you always check
- Whitelist [email protected] in your email client
A little setup goes a long way — most of our users never think about login again after their first week.
