The Trailer Detail Page: Every Tab Explained

Click into any trailer from the list and you land on its detail page. The top of the page shows the trailer name, status pill, and primary actions. Below that, seven tabs let you drill into whatever part of that trailer's life you care about.

Overview

The default tab. It holds the spec sheet (length, weight, axles, brakes, VIN, license plate, color), pricing (daily, weekly, monthly, and any custom rate plans), the security deposit amount and handling mode, and a freeform description that appears on your public listing. If any field is missing, a small amber dot on the field label points it out.

Photos

Drag and drop images into this tab. The first photo is the primary — it is the one the public listing uses as the thumbnail. You can reorder by dragging and mark any photo as "do not publish" if you want it for internal reference only (like a photo of the hitch for your lot manager).

High-quality photos win bookings. Three to five clean shots in good light outperform a dozen dim cell-phone photos every time.

Availability

An in-page calendar for just this trailer. Confirmed reservations, holds, and maintenance blocks all show up. You can drag a block to create a new internal hold (for example, "driving this to a trade show on Tuesday") or click any reservation to jump to its details.

History

A chronological list of every reservation this trailer has ever been on. Each row shows dates, renter, total charged, and status. Useful when a returning renter calls and asks "which trailer did I have last time?"

Maintenance

All maintenance tasks and costs for this trailer. You can log a new task directly from this tab — pick a category (tires, brakes, electrical, general), add notes, attach a receipt photo, and enter the cost. The running total at the top of the tab gives you lifetime maintenance spend, which feeds into whether the trailer is pulling its weight.

Performance

Analytics scoped to this trailer:

• Utilization — percentage of days rented over the trailing 30, 90, and 365 days.
• Revenue — gross rental revenue with a simple bar chart.
• Rating — average star rating from renter reviews.

If a trailer is underperforming on utilization, that is your signal to try a price tweak or better photos. If maintenance cost is eating into revenue, it might be time to retire it.

QR Code

Generate a printable QR code that opens the public listing for this trailer. Great for a sign on the trailer, a tag at the hitch, or a sticker in the cab. (See the dedicated article on Trailer QR Codes for size options.)

Quick actions

The top-right action menu applies across all tabs: Duplicate (to spin up a near-identical trailer), Change Status, Print Spec Sheet, and Archive.
