What Pinning Does
Pinning promotes a review to featured status. Pinned reviews appear:
- At the top of the trailer detail page on your public booking site.
- On your website's review widget, if you have embedded it.
- In the social proof section of your marketing home page (when enabled).
You can pin up to six reviews across your organization, and pinned reviews show in the order you choose via drag-and-drop.
Pinning a Review
- Open the review from the Reviews page.
- Click the pin icon in the review card header, or open the review detail and toggle Pin as featured.
- That review now appears in the Pinned Reviews panel on the Reviews page.
If you already have six pinned, the pin icon is disabled until you unpin one.
Reordering Pinned Reviews
Open Reviews > Pinned. You will see all currently pinned reviews as cards.
- Drag any card up or down to reorder.
- The top card appears first on the public trailer page.
- Changes save automatically.
For best effect on the public page, lead with the most specific, most credible review — the one that mentions trailer features, destination, or a named team member — not necessarily the shortest or the most effusive.
Unpinning a Review
Click the pin icon again on the review, or on the pinned card. The review stays in your Reviews list as normal and simply loses featured status.
What Makes a Good Featured Review
The goal of featuring is to turn browsers into bookers. The reviews that do this best tend to be:
- Specific — they mention the trailer model, a destination, or a use case. Specifics are credible in a way generic praise is not.
- Named — reviewer's first name and last initial beat "Anonymous."
- Long enough to be human — 40 to 150 words is a sweet spot.
- Honest — a 4-star review that praises the trailer while mentioning a minor issue reads more real than a string of 5-stars that all sound alike.
- Responded to — your thoughtful response sits right below, adding a second layer of credibility.
Policy and Fairness
A few things to keep in mind:
- You can only feature reviews that are published and not currently in moderation. A reported review is automatically unpinned until it is resolved.
- You cannot edit a customer's words. You can only choose which reviews to feature.
- Reviews stay pinned across response edits. If you update your response, the pinned card refreshes automatically.
Embedding on Your Website
Under Settings > Website > Review Widget, copy the embed snippet and paste it into any page on your external website. The widget reads your current pinned reviews, so updates on the Reviews page show up on your website within a minute.
Widget options include:
- Layout — grid, carousel, or list.
- Rating filter — only show 4- and 5-star pinned reviews.
- Theme — light or dark mode to match your site.
Tips
- Refresh your pins monthly. Swap in recent reviews so your featured content feels current.
- Mix trailers. If you have a multi-trailer fleet, pin reviews that cover different trailers so each type gets social proof.
- Lead with the best specific review, not the best generic review. "Picked up the 20-footer on Friday, towed great, Mike was super helpful" outperforms "Amazing experience, 10/10!"
