Pick the window that matters
Every report in TrailerBase has a date range picker in the upper-right corner. The range you choose filters every chart, metric, and table on the page so you are always comparing apples to apples.
Preset ranges
Click the picker and you will see a list of one-click presets:
- Last 7 days — the trailing week, rolling
- Last 30 days — the trailing month, rolling
- Last 90 days — the trailing quarter, rolling
- This month — from the 1st of the current month through today
- Last month — the full previous calendar month
- Year-to-date (YTD) — January 1 through today
- All time — every record you have ever created
- Custom — pick any start and end date on the calendar
The preset you pick persists across tabs. If you set Revenue to Last 90 days, then jump to Customers, it will also show Last 90 days. This makes it easy to compare metrics in the same window without re-selecting.
Custom ranges
Click Custom to open a dual calendar. Click once for your start date, then once more for your end date. The range is inclusive on both ends — so selecting April 1 to April 30 includes both days.
You can also type dates directly into the input fields using MM/DD/YYYY format, which is faster than clicking the calendar for specific dates like tax year endings.
Comparison mode
Most reports support comparison to a prior period. Toggle Compare to previous under the date picker and TrailerBase will overlay the same-length prior window. For example, if you select Last 30 days, comparison shows the 30 days before that — great for spotting trends at a glance.
Time zone behavior
All date ranges are evaluated in your organization's default time zone, which you set under Settings > Business > Time zone. Reservations that span midnight are attributed to their start date.
Saved views (Advanced plan)
On the Advanced plan you can save a date range plus filters as a named view. Click Save view next to the picker, give it a name like "Monthly board report," and it will appear in the dropdown next time you visit.
Tips
- Use YTD for tax planning and investor updates.
- Use Last 90 days for seasonal trend spotting.
- Use Custom around holidays and special events to measure campaign impact.
- Combine with Export to build a monthly board-reporting workflow.
