Using the AI website builder

The fastest way to go from blank to published is the AI builder. You write a short description of the site you want and the AI generates a complete, editable draft in about 30 seconds. You then refine it conversationally until it is exactly right.

Where to find it

Open Website Builder in the sidebar, then click the AI tab at the top. You will see a single prompt box titled Describe your ideal site.

Writing a good first prompt

The more specific you are, the less editing you do later. A strong prompt covers three things:

1. Feeling — the mood or aesthetic ("warm and rustic", "clean and corporate", "bold and adventurous").
2. Focus — which trailers, which customers, which services lead the site ("focused on dump trailers for contractors").
3. Extras — non-standard sections you want included ("add an FAQ", "include a financing section", "highlight our 24-hour delivery").

Example prompt:

Warm and rustic aesthetic focused on dump trailers and landscaping trailers for residential contractors in the Denver metro. Emphasize same-day delivery and include an FAQ section about weight limits and permits. Feature three customer testimonials and a map of our service area.

Click Generate and wait about 20-30 seconds. The preview appears in the right panel with every page rendered.

Reviewing the preview

Click through the page tabs at the top of the preview (Home, Trailers, About, etc.) and read what the AI wrote. Pay attention to:

• Hero headline — is it the right promise?
• Tone — does it sound like you, or too corporate, or too casual?
• Featured trailers — did it pick the right ones?
• Colors and photos — are they close, or far off?

Nothing is live yet. The preview lives in a draft area until you explicitly publish.

Iterating with revision prompts

Below the preview is a Revise box. Type what to change in plain English. Examples:

• "Make the hero headline shorter and more direct."
• "Swap in the 14-foot dump as the featured trailer."
• "Add a section about our weekend specials."
• "Change the color scheme to navy and mustard."
• "Rewrite the About page to mention we are family-owned since 2011."
• "Make the tone more playful."

The AI applies the change and re-renders. Each revision is non-destructive — the full history is saved, and you can roll back one step or all the way to the original at any time.

Getting specific with sections

If you want the AI to focus on just one page or section, name it in the prompt:

• "On the Home page, move the testimonials above the trailer list."
• "On the Contact page, add our text-us number and remove the fax field."

Section-scoped changes are faster because the AI does not touch the rest of the site.

Switching to manual editing

At any point you can leave the AI tab and use the regular visual editor to make precise changes — drag sections, crop a photo, tweak a color. AI and manual edits coexist peacefully.

Starting over

Not happy? Click Start fresh to throw out the current draft and begin again with a new prompt. You can also switch from AI-built to a template at any time — your copy and photos carry over.

Most operators get a publishable first draft in one prompt and two revisions. Aim for progress over perfection and remember that republishing takes seconds after launch.
